Handpan Add Ons und andere Klangerweiterungen

Handpan add-ons and other sound extensions

Can I expand the sound of my handpan?
Yes, you can expand the sound of your handpan. There is the possibility of using handpan add-ons. The handpan add-ons expand the possibilities of the handpan's sound experience with additional facets that make your playing even more versatile.

Handpan add-ons from Schlagwerk bring percussive elements into play, which are particularly useful for live performances. The concept of the Cajon extensions was adapted to the handpans and emphasis was placed on making installation as flexible and easy as possible. So the products are magnetic and will stick to the surface of many handpans (unless the surface is non-magnetic). There are different options here that offer different sound effects.

The Pan Clap
This add-on ensures that you can also use a woody, warm "clap" sound when playing.

The Pan Chick
This add-on ensures that you create a warm “chick” sound while playing. Due to the unique sound, this can be placed between hi-hats, ritual rattles, cha cha nuts or shakers. This allows you to add more sophistication to your compositions.

The handpan buzz
This add-on provides a nice snare effect and gives your playing an extra kick.

The Pan Shaker
This add on is a classic shaker and probably self-explanatory. However, you should be careful with this effect, especially when it comes to placement.

The Helmholtz cylinder
The Helmholtz cylinder from HandpanCare is inserted into the Gu of the handpan and helps to attenuate disruptive frequencies. In addition, the Helmholtz cylinder gives the instrument a more bass-heavy sound. This is how you get an additional component in your gameComing soonComing soon: HandpanCare Helmholtz cylinder

The sound of the handpan itself is very versatile and variable, but with the right additions you can discover and play with even more sound worlds. This way you can definitely diversify your playing and have new options for finding your sound.
