Kate Stone – Workshops in Europe – Rafael Sotomayor

This popular workshop from Kate Stone will introduce you to the Handpan.

You can discover and experience this magical instrument as Kate will give you all the tools you need to start and continue to play on your own.

Handpans will be provided for the workshop. The participation also includes an option to buy an instrument. Remember that there is a waiting list of at least 2 – 3 months for a Opsilon Handpan, so this is a nice opportunity for those who want to learn how to play the Handpan and take one home with them.

Advanced Workshops (NEW)

Also there is the new advanced Workshop. This kind of Workshop is directed at players with a decent experience, so that they can grow even further. This is the first time we can offer you the option to explore the possibilities of the Handpan with Rafael. The workshop focuses on harmony, rhythm and composition.

International Easter Workshop 13.4 – 18.4.2020

Special Handpan Workshop for one week. It is an intensive course, where the training is four hours a day.

On the Easter Monday there will be an exclusive concert by the teachers of the course, Rafael Sotomayor and Kate Stone. On the last day of the course there will a concert of the participants.

This course is for all interested in playing on the handpan, as well for beginner as for advanced players.

The costs of this workshop are 350€ and the entrance to the concert is inclusive.

The shedule of the week is the following:

9am: entrance and arrival
9:30 am – 11:30 am: first training session
12:30 am: lunch
3 pm – 5 pm: second training session
6 pm: dinner

In between and after the sessions/ meals there is space for playing on your own. Coffee and cake is set for the afternoon and also there will be some programm on the evening.
