Our professionally planned and conducted handpan beginners workshop is not only known and popular throughout Germany, but also attracts participants from all over the world to Süßen. You will be guided through the workshop under the expert guidance of Kate and Rafael, two experienced and passionate handpan artists. It doesn't matter whether you are a complete beginner or have already had your first experience with the instrument - the Opsilon Handpan Workshop is designed to meet every participant where they are. You will be introduced to the art of handpan playing step by step: from the first touch techniques to creating harmonious melodies to free playing and improvisation.

And the best thing about it: If you completely fall in love with the instrument, Opsilon Instruments not only offers you the opportunity to purchase a handpan directly on site, but will also provide you with comprehensive advice on care, quality and the various tunings of the instrument. By combining theory and practice, at the end of the workshop you will leave not only with new inspiration and musical skills, but also with a deep understanding of the handpan and its fascinating history.

Handpans will be provided for the workshop. This means that each participant receives a handpan, which can then be exchanged with each other. Participation also includes the option to buy or rent a handpan. Remember that there is a waiting list of at least 2 to 3 months for an Opsilon Handpan. The workshop is the opportunity to buy an Opsilon handpan. Our handpan workshop is aimed at anyone who wants to learn how to play this fascinating instrument. Once you find your instrument in the workshop, you can take it home straight away.

When you purchase an instrument on site at Rafael's workshop, you will receive a €50 voucher for another workshop at Rafael's in the future.
